About
Hi, I'm Alex.

I've spent more than 25 years as a therapist, and I still find this work deeply meaningful. I see adults individually and as couples throughout California by telehealth.
What I believe about therapy
Many of the things that bring people to therapy make more sense once we slow down and look at them closely. A reaction that feels out of proportion, a relationship that keeps hitting the same wall, a low mood that won't lift: each usually has a story and a pattern behind it.
I believe in kindness, respect, and the simple truth that everyone struggles sometimes. Perfection isn't the goal. Understanding yourself, and treating yourself with more compassion, is where lasting change begins.
How I work with you
My approach is compassionate, collaborative, and insight-oriented. Together we'll explore your emotional responses, recognize the patterns that may be getting in the way, and use that understanding to develop healthier ways of relating to yourself and others. I'll check in with you about what's helping, and you're always welcome to tell me what you need.
